The 3rd Annual Golf Outing takes place, tomorrow, July 31st, at Brentwood Golf Course with a start time of 11:00. There are still spots available for golf and dinner. Contact Christi at

MONDAY, AUGUST 2 – EQUIPMENT HANDOUT
Equipment for cheer, freshman, junior varsity, and varsity football will be passed out at the storage facility located at 46560 Pontiac Trail, Building J (north side of Pontiac Trail just west of Giesler Middle School). Times are as follows: Varsity – 5:30, Junior Varsity – 6:15, Freshman – 7:00.
$50 equipment/uniform deposit (cash or check) is due on this day. The following paperwork must be turned in to receive your equipment: Birth Certificate, League Waiver, 2010 Parent Contract, 2010 Physical, 2010 Registration Forms. NO EXCEPTIONS - ALL OF THE ABOVE ARE MUSTS!

Mouth guards will be available for sale during equipment handout for $1.00.
Equipment for flag will be passed out at their first practice on Thursday, August 5th. Please bring a $25 equipment/uniform deposit (cash or check) and all of the registration and physical forms must be turned in to receive your equipment.
EQUIPMENT -
Flag– Players are provided: game shorts, jersey, socks, helmet, and flag belts. Parents are responsible for: tethered mouth guard and a cup. Molded cleats are recommended, but not required.
Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity- Players are provided: helmet, shoulder pads, practice and game jerseys, practice and game pants (all pads included in them), socks and belt. Parents are responsible for: molded cleats, hex pad girdle, t-shirt under shoulder pads (necessary), cup/supporter, and tethered mouth guard. Optional items: arm pads of any sort, gloves, clear visors, rib protection pads.
Cheer– Cheerleaders are provided: tops, skirts, and poms. More information will be available from the coaches.

Dick’s is offering the Commerce Chargers a special one-day shopping event for 15% off your purchase. Coupons were passed out at camp and are also available on the Commerce Chargers web site or in the store.
PRACTICE SCHEDULE FOR FLAGFOOTBALL
First practice is August 5 from 6:00 – 7:00 and every Tuesday and Thursday thereafter.
PRACTICE SCHEDULE FOR FRESHMAN, JUNIOR VARSITY, ANDVARSITY FOOTBALL
August 4 – 6 – 6:00 – 8:30- no pads (helmets, mouth guard, practice jersey, and cleats)
Starting August 9 – 6:00 – 8:30- full pads (includes helmets, pads, mouth guard, cup, practice jersey, pants, and cleats).
Starting August 27 – all Friday practices will be from 6:00 – 7:00.
Starting August 30 – no practices on Mondays and practice times Tuesday through Thursday will be from 6:00 – 8:00 (daylight dependent late in the season)
No practice on Friday, September 3

Cheer practice schedules will be sent out by the parent directors. There will be no Friday practices.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 7 – PICTURE DAY
Individual and team photos will be taken at Walled Lake Central practice fields. The schedule is as follows:

Price list and order forms can be found on the Commerce Chargers web site. All players and cheerleaders receive a complimentary 5 x 7 individual or team photo – please note your choice on the envelope.
SPIRIT WEAR– Spirit wear can be ordered on-line at https://chargers.itemorder.com/shop. Check out the full line of Chargers spirit wear on the Chargers web site. Place your order by August 9 and it will be delivered to your home around August 23. Limited product and sizes will be available for sale during the first week of practice and at all home games. Mouth guards will also be for sale the first week of practice.

posted 07/23/2010 Reminder that the cheerleading and football camps begin on Monday, July 26, and run through Thursday, July 29, at Walled Lake Central High School from 6:30 – 8:30. If you haven’t registered, you can still register at the camp. The cost is $50 and the registration form can be found on the document tab of the Commerce Chargers website.
During camp, there will be some important opportunities to take advantage of while you are there:
· Outstanding paperwork- Turn in physical form and other paperwork that may be incomplete. Equipment will be passed out on Monday, August 2nd only if all paperwork is completed.
· Golf Outing, July 31st– Registration forms will be available, so put together a foursome and join in on the fun at Brentwood. If anyone can donate a raffle item for the golf outing, we would really appreciate it and will gladly accept it during the week of camp.
· Nike Truck- Will be at camp on Tuesday, July 27th only from 5:00 – 6:30. Great way to pick up needed cleats or equipment before the season starts.
· Dick’s Sporting Goods Day– August 3 from 5:00 – 8:00. Coupons will be passed out at camp and will also be available on the Commerce Chargers website.
· Picture Day- Saturday, August 7. Stop by the registration table at camp to pick up picture order forms and team picture times.
· Spirit Wear– Check out the Chargers spirit wear which will be for sale during the week of camp and orders can also be made on-line.
· Carvel Ice Cream– Available every night at the end of camp for $2.00. Carvel will generously donate $1.00 of every purchase back to the Chargers!
· Raffle Tickets– If you haven’t picked up your raffle tickets yet or are in need of more, you can do so at the registration table. Don’t forget that the deadline for turning all money in is September 15th and the drawing takes place on October 10th. Great prizes for those who sell more than the minimum number of tickets.
· Volunteer Sign-Up– Per the Parent Contract, all Chargers families must work three shifts during the season. The volunteer-sign-up sheet will be available during the week of the camp, so be sure to check it out and sign up for your shifts before all of the prime time spots get filled.
